About Memorial Gifts

HONOR A LOVED ONE OR SPECIAL HORSE WITH THE GIFT OF GIVING A DESERVING HORSE A SECOND CHANCE.

We have all been privileged to know and love a special person or horse that has touched our hearts and enriched our lives. These inspirational people and horses deserve recognition, and Mt Hope Horse Rescue has the perfect way to do that. Through a memorial/honorary gift to Mt Hope Horse Rescue in their name, you can honor your loved one as well as help an abused, abandoned and discarded horses get a second chance.

Memorial gifts honor the memory of someone who touched your life in a special way. Often, families ask for memorials in funeral notices as a way of honoring loved ones. Sample sentences include:

• The family requests that memorial gifts be forwarded to Mt Hope Horse Rescue 2244 E. Mt Hope Rd, Manheim, PA 17545.
• The family requests that memorial gifts be made to the (choose one) [General Horse Fund/ /Horse Sponsorship/Hay Sponsorship/Horsemanship Classes] Program of Mt Hope Horse Rescue 2244 E. Mt Hope Rd, Manheim, PA 17545

Many people make annual memorial contributions to remember the birthday or anniversary of a loved one.

Honorariums also provide donors a way to express their appreciation or love and respect for a living family member, friend, coworker or other special person. This is also a thoughtful way to commemorate a special equine award or accomplishment.

MEMORIAL / HONORARIUM ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The honoree, next of kin or owner receives a certificate acknowledging your gift. Their name also will be published on Mt Hope Horse Rescue's Web page and in the Newsletter following the Memorial/Honorarium donation.

When making your gift, please indicate the name of the person you wish to honor and provide a mailing address as appropriate in a short note or in the memo portion of a check addressed to MHHR. We will be honored to send a notification of your generous remembrance to the individual or individuals memorialized or honored. Your gift amount is not disclosed. You may also make a secure online gift to MHHR or one if its programs in honor or memory of someone.

In addition to honoring your loved one, your gift supports giving an abused, abandoned and discarded horse a second chance. Through our rehabilitation process that includes immediate medical attention and intensive professional training, we strive to identify, evaluate and purposefully address each horse's individual needs. Our goal is to then release these horses for adoption and place them into homes where they will be enjoyed while continuing to be safe, cared for and loved. An honorary gift is also a wonderful way to celebrate your friend's birthday, anniversary or special event.
